It seems that lately a lot of hipster radio stations have discovered the "00s". Boring... Been there, done that!
3 years ago, I felt the urge to create the mother of all lists and although it took me months to make it, it was all worth it.

I truly enjoyed making last weeks chart, so why not continue this week? Again, I was pleasantly surprised with fresh Kraak & Smaak, Roisin Murphy and Jamie Lidell singles and new albums of bands like Electric Six (Mustang) and The Fratellis (We Need Medicine). The latter was almost unanimously buried by the critics, but f*ck 'm, we love it. This past weekend I went raving at a party at the Amsterdam Dance Event, hence the entry of Josh Wink - Balls. You gotta love some old skool techno-acid-rave loop-di-loops. Or maybe not. Whatever you do, don't forget to check in at
Raar Fm, the only place where you will here all these carefully selected tunes.

More and more amazingly cool tunes have been thrown on my desk last week and it feels that we are back on track, so here's a new chart for free! Reflektor is one of the best tracks I have heard this year and what about that Bruce Springsteen cover of "Drive All Night" by Glen Hansard and Eddie Vedder? More new stuff by Robbie Williams, Hellogoodbye, Rae & Christian (check out their album Mercury Rising, strong!) and Kraak & Smaak (new album Chrome Waves will be released next week!)
2013 is far from over and it will be quite tough to make a Top 177 of this year. I made need some help from you folks, so drop me a mail.

David Bowie made a huge come-back earlier this year and makes an even bigger come-back to our chart with a hot entry on number 1. 14 new tracks were selected to join this weeks chart. Many folks consider "Afterlife" the best track on Arcade Fire's new album. Danish pop group return to the chart with "Fuck", a modern day, less subtle version, of their classic "White Horse". Furthermore we bring you new tunes of Pet Shop Boys, Tim Knol, Chromeo, (Mad Mens) Jessica Pare. Damn, the list goes on and on. Better check
Raar FM, you will hear these tunes 24/7.

Another week has passed and we're still up and running with our weekly chart. This week, we were pleasantly surprised by Lily Allen's version of "Somewhere Only We Know" and her comeback single "Hard Out There". We also loved the new Jake Bugg and Hooverphonic albums. Both have entered the chart as well. However we were blown away by the London Grammar "Nightcall" EP. Top notch song with a huge Freemasons remix. Can't get better than this! Listen to
Raar FM and you'll be up to date in no time.

So what do we have for you this week? Well... what about a brand new Springsteen track? New Booka Shade single perhaps? 3rd Manic Street Preachers single of 2013? What about that infectuous ear worm of Kraak & Smaak featuring Janne Schra? A brand new Swedish band NONONO enters our chart at number 12 and with an amzing song; "Sacred". Both "Sacred" and "Voices" by Go Wolf are featured on the new Kitsune compilation. Check it out! All that aside, London Grammar - Nightcall remains our most favourite tune of the week.

Somehow it was more difficult to come up with a Top 177 than usual.
What could be the reason?
Am I losing touch?
I don't think so, although I had to dig deep in the 2015 archives.
In the end, I am happy with the final list.
