It's the end of 2012 and hi-di-ho we're still here. We were warned for disasters and what did we got? Dubstep, Psy and an even bigger range of faceless Voice of..., Idols and X Factor performers. No, 2012 was not the best year in music, but we did manage to make a pretty decent Top 177 of 2012!

I truly enjoyed making last weeks chart, so why not continue this week? Again, I was pleasantly surprised with fresh Kraak & Smaak, Roisin Murphy and Jamie Lidell singles and new albums of bands like Electric Six (Mustang) and The Fratellis (We Need Medicine). The latter was almost unanimously buried by the critics, but f*ck 'm, we love it. This past weekend I went raving at a party at the Amsterdam Dance Event, hence the entry of Josh Wink - Balls. You gotta love some old skool techno-acid-rave loop-di-loops. Or maybe not. Whatever you do, don't forget to check in at
Raar Fm, the only place where you will here all these carefully selected tunes.

Autumn has always been special to me. The days of hot summer days are over so I can finally wear some decent clothes. Most of all, Mother Nature brings us the most powerful colours of the year. That is one of the reasons I have learned to ignore all the complaining folks around me who tend to drown themselves in a puddle of self-pity because of lower temperatures, a little bit of rain and wind and longer nights. Big deal. Truth is, that the best music is usually written during and about those wet and darker autumn days. It gives me a big pleasure to bring to your attention my 2 new Autumn Collection Part 5 and 6. Keep smiling, Xmas is just around the corner.

More and more amazingly cool tunes have been thrown on my desk last week and it feels that we are back on track, so here's a new chart for free! Reflektor is one of the best tracks I have heard this year and what about that Bruce Springsteen cover of "Drive All Night" by Glen Hansard and Eddie Vedder? More new stuff by Robbie Williams, Hellogoodbye, Rae & Christian (check out their album Mercury Rising, strong!) and Kraak & Smaak (new album Chrome Waves will be released next week!)
2013 is far from over and it will be quite tough to make a Top 177 of this year. I made need some help from you folks, so drop me a mail.

Another week has passed and we're still up and running with our weekly chart. This week, we were pleasantly surprised by Lily Allen's version of "Somewhere Only We Know" and her comeback single "Hard Out There". We also loved the new Jake Bugg and Hooverphonic albums. Both have entered the chart as well. However we were blown away by the London Grammar "Nightcall" EP. Top notch song with a huge Freemasons remix. Can't get better than this! Listen to
Raar FM and you'll be up to date in no time.

So what do we have for you this week? Well... what about a brand new Springsteen track? New Booka Shade single perhaps? 3rd Manic Street Preachers single of 2013? What about that infectuous ear worm of Kraak & Smaak featuring Janne Schra? A brand new Swedish band NONONO enters our chart at number 12 and with an amzing song; "Sacred". Both "Sacred" and "Voices" by Go Wolf are featured on the new Kitsune compilation. Check it out! All that aside, London Grammar - Nightcall remains our most favourite tune of the week.
